They still don't get it....

I spoke with a friend the other day about the movie being made. His comment was something to the effect that "I used to live in Kansas and the same thing happened at Wichita." Another person started blabbing about Marshall in the 90's.

"They" still don't get it. The magnitude. The raw emotion.

Yesterday I re-read The Parthenon's edition from November 18, 1970. They got it. They understood that they were in the middle of something that each writer would never forget. Ever.

That's what I hope the movie captures. In football terms, the win over Xavier that year wasn't for a conference title or a mythical national championship. In human terms it was a championship of the spirit, of the soul.

Sounds like "they" will never get it. That's o.k. The people that it means something to will NEVER forget; they don't need a movie--it is indelibly etched on their souls.
